Anyway, my interest in medical writing issues around the world led me to "The unofficial, non-AMA Style Guide to the light-hearted use of Australian vernacular in Medical Writing."
Read it. You may get a chuckle out of it.
Apart from "the kangaroos in the top paddock," medical writing seems to be also thriving down under. I was surprised to see that almost 30% of the listings under Health & Fitness periodicals in the Writer's Market Online were Australian magazines.
